Change happens when a person wants to change

I sometimes meet leaders that believe they’re doing everything right, and that the problems in their team or company are caused by others.

For example, in companies where people are unhappy, and there’s high turnover, some leaders don’t see how their own actions are part of the problem.

🤔 But can anyone else change that person’s mindset or make them behave differently?
Usually, no.

Change only happens when the person starts to see their own mistakes and their role in the issues.
Without that realization, change won’t happen.

I really agree with the quote because it’s true: people change when they reflect on themselves and want to grow 🌱—or when the pain of staying the same becomes worse than the pain of change.

And change can be hard.
As humans, we often avoid change, because it causes us pain 😫 and we want to avoid that.
